The Infant Curriculum is filled with several small group activities. Daily tummy time encourages gross motor movement and builds skills like reaching, pushing, pulling, rolling, crawling and climbing.
Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are encouraged with different types of games and large manipulatives, including leg-kicking, pounding, rolling, etc.
Sensory skills are built with textures and other developmental toys. A play area designed to encourage free movement, enables the infants to explore many materials, textures and objects.
Language development starts early, with one on one interaction, talking to the babies, reading stories, looking at pictures and objects. Storytelling, puppets and finger play add a special element of fun to the baby’s day and build on vocal and language skills.
Hands-on arts and crafts involve the babies in experimenting with different textures, and sensations. It’s not important that a 7-month old cannot “paint”, but the personal interaction and sensory stimulation that the child receives while participating will enhance their growth and development.
As a toddler’s independence grows, it is accompanied by a strong desire to venture out of the comfort zone and explore the world around.
DeCare offers an exceptional educational program that introduces academics through fun activities that boost independence, confidence and self-esteem.
Our after school program is designed for children kindergarten through 6th grade. Children are provided assistance in completing their homework assignments.
